ML So you have to make the Ngie soup first and then just "poach" the egg? (Poach means crack the egg into softly boiling water and wait until it is cooked but not broken up) foochow it is called long pow (?) Correct? Great...Is this a very Foochow (Mainland) soup? I like the culture!!:) :)
阿振,古田話是腹肚龜了(Bu-du-gui) 慶嶸,這種獨家的吃相只有在本部落才能看到呢! CY,yes exactly what you say!It is common practise by the villagers in Foochow county like Minqin, Kutian etc.It is a very repective way to host the VVIP or close relatives. The more close relative the more eggs you have. So when we arrived 9 years back, each home hosted each one of us with three eggs, so after visiting 4 homes we ate 9 eggs every one, and stongly requested not to have anymore at the fourth relative's home.Actually 30-50years back the villagers at my home village like 24 acres, Lebaan or Bukit Lan, they also hosted the relatives or friends more or less the same way. But i remember one of my relative use Milo - egg, I like it very much. 阿生,really good!
