I checked with Mr. Hii of Miri who told me that Marudi Poyut's Kiaw Nan school also has a school name banner(?) written by Gen. Chiang Kai Shek.
It was an honorable thing to do at that time to request for the calligraphy of Dr. Sun or Gen Chiang by overseas Chinese. And to these two leaders it was their pleasure and honour to write for the banners. They were eternally grateful to overseas Chinese for raising so much funds for the revolution. So their calligraphy was just a small token of appreciation...
