The Herald permit issue

Weekly Catholic newspaper The Herald has lost its publishing permit for next year amid a long-running dispute over its use of the word "Allah".

The loss of The Herald's permit comes as it prepares for a High Court hearing on Dec 14 in a legal battle between the Catholic Church and the authorities over the use of the word "Allah" in the paper's Malay-language section.

Sometimes it is hard to really face facts.
Those who vote for government are also those who help make such decisions. Because we give them the mandate.
Yes..Malaysia is the only country which does not allow "others" to use the A word.

I attended an oratorio in Jakarta last saturday and the opening prayer was so nice to hear as it had `free flow' of A word.
