A lot of thoughts appear in my mind after I have read oya's words.
Wars surely do not bring happiness nor pleasant memories. But, to some they surely have brought wealth and glories. Just look at Napoleon and Alexander the Great in the history! Look at the wars in the Middle East today! Some one will get all the oil money. But, sadly spoken, "those who play with swords will perish of swords." Time will tell all this.
Some other people have held the idea that wars bring peace. Look at the superpowers, the so called developed nations; how they race to invent and build sophisticated weapons. It is how amazing how these people will say only wars can maintain peace. It is through matching up of new weapons do we keep the equilibrium of power going among nations, no matter big or small.
Read "War and Peace" and perhaps you will be able to learn something from the novel.
Actually we are at war every day, the only different is it is in different scale. Example: 1. Mongolian Model killed cold bloodly 2. SMS on the Muslims baptised in Church. 3. etc.
