Timing for making an apology is important. If Mr. Wong apologies before being elected, he would be committing political suicide.
To gain political mileage by hook (like surfacing ½ mile of road on election eve) or by crook (like outright lie about the opponents) is dishonesty and the voters suffer while the politicians gain (for what else they inconvenience themselves).
I really don’t know or know about Dr. Wong well to judge him fairly. But I consider him an honest and selfless man and his kind deeds to those in need and in sickness will always be remembered and highly appreciated.

他只是比對方少說一點假話；請問世上誰說真話呢？你真的還相信政治人物的話嗎？
砂拉越有真正的反對黨嗎?政客的特點是今天可以信誓旦旦向你這麼說, 明天又可以有另一套說詞。
其實，不需要對政客太苛刻；你連自己都無法相信，何必對人要求太甚呢？
