My grandfather is Lee Sing Mee, the carpenter that you mentioned. My father, Lee Yung Toh is retired and stays with my brother in Bintulu. May be I should find out more from him about Hak Choon Huon.
My aunt from Ah Nang Chong and her children are all in Sibu. Her daughter is Miss Lau from Fan Clinic (opposite your office) You can start from there. My aunt is a good Methodist. She will know many Hak Choon Nguong people especially the ladies...and they have stories to tell.
